Our 1st annual summer math institute will be on August 14 and August 15, 2018.  The theme for this years conference is "Mastering Math Workshop" with emphases on teaching number sense, problem solving and on teaching with guided math groups. The conference will be split into two days with the focus being on implementing math workshop in grades K-4 on August 14th and on implementing math workshop in grades 5-8 on August 15th. Featured Speaker:  Jennifer Lempp

​

                                               Jennifer, is the author of Math Workshop: Five Steps to                                                                       Implementing Guided Math, Learning Stations, Reflection, and                                                         More. She also currently serves as a Coordinator in the Office of                                                       School Support in Fairfax County Public Schools, Virginia. In                                                             addition, Jennifer has experience teaching in both Elementary and                                                   Middle School and served as a Math Coach for many years.                                                               Jennifer has facilitated professional development at the local, state,                                                 and national level, and is a Nationally Board Certified Teacher in                                                     Early Adolescence Mathematics. She is enrolled in an Educational                                                   Leadership doctoral program at the University of Virginia and will                                                 earn her Ed.D. in Administration and Supervision.
